About ICF

ICF's are forms for poured concrete walls.  Made out of polystyrene foam insulation, ICF's remain in place as a permanent part of the wall, unlike the traditional concrete forms.  After the wall is poured, the ICF's serve as insulation and a sound barrier as well as backing for the internal and external finishes.  The overall product is a strong, quiet, and insulated wall system that outperforms wood or steel contstructed buildings.

A properly installed ICF house will achieve an R-value equivalency of 40+ and heating and cooling costs decrease by an average of 40%.  When you add this to the comfort of knowing that an ICF house can withstand winds of 200 mph and have a 4 hour fire rating, the true value of building with ICF's becomes very apparent.
